South Side Sale, Old Deed #22 Braddan (Court Oct 1703)

John Gelling to Tho Kinley - sale

Know all men by these presents that I John Gelling of the
parish of KK Braddan in the Isle of Mann with ye full and
free Consent of my wife Margrett Gelling alias Kneale
many good Causes and Considerations us thereunto moving But
Espetially : for and in Consideration of the intire sum of five
pounds thirteene ^shillings^ of Lawfull moneys of England to be pd
to us as followeth the sd two pounds sixteene shillings and six
pence to be pais at next Sheading Courts after the date hereof
and the other two pounds sixteene shillings and six pence to be
paid at Hollantide following : By and from the hands of Thomas
Kinloe of the above parish : whereof and wherewith upon
the receipt of the sd payments : we the above John Gelling
and Margrett my wife doe ^ackoledg^ our selves : to be fully satisfied
and paid, And thereof and of every part and parcell thereof
doe Clearly aquitt and discharge the sd Thomas Kinloe his
heirs Executers Admers or assignes : By these presents have
Given Granted alienated : past over and sould : And by these
presents doe Give grant alienate passover and absolutely sell
for ever all our interest Right and Tytle in and toe one
parcell of quarte Land Commonly Knowen and Caled by the
name of Chubbins Close situate Lying and being in the parish
above sd and Aioyning to the above sd Thomas Kinloes Land – 
of the yearly rent of foure shillings to our Honerble Lord
with all wayes water Courses Easments profitts or Comodityes
thereunto belonging or in any wise apperteining : to him the
sd Thomas Kinloe his heirs Executers Admers or assignes to
hould and Enioy the same for ever : from us the above John
Gell and Margrett my wife our heirs Executers administraters
or Assignes And wee the sd John Gelling and Margrett my 
wife doe hereby further promise and oblidge our selves our
heirs Executers Admers or Assignes to uphould warrant and defend
him the above Thomas Kinloe his heirs Executers Admers or Assi[page fold]
in the full interest of the sd Close against all persons
whatever the Right Honerble the Lord of the Isle only Excep[page fold]
and to use our Endeavor to pcure the Honerble Courts Confirma[page tear]
to these presents as Lickwise to have the sd Tho: Kinloe his name
Entered in our Honerble Lords Rentall books as right tenant
for the premises : And for the true and punctuall
performance of all and singular the premises above
mentioned wee the above mentioned John Gelling

And Margrett Gelling alias Kneale my wife doe bind our
selves our heirs Executers Admers or assignes in the penalty
of Seven pounds five shillings the one halfe to ye use of our
honerble Lord and the other halfe to the within Thomas
Kinloe his heirs Exers Admers or assignes as wittness our
hands this twentith of March 1702/3

        The above Jon Gellin and Margt his wife have
        acknowledged this Bargand  to be their
        voluntary Act and Deed before me

Wee doe acknowledg to have recd the first payment
of the within bill being 2 pounds sixteene shillings
and six pence we say recd the above sume by us the
last of May 1703
