Assuming Phillip was about 25 when he married in 1840, then he would have been born c1815, and if he died c1843 he would have been about 28.

The 1841 Census has a couple of c25 year old Philips:

TEARE Philip 25 And 1463/1 65 5
TEARE Philip 25 And 1463/1 68 11

The first of these was married to a Margaret.

The second one was living at Smeale, the son of James & Ann Teare. There is a second Ann Teare listed aged c25, but I would guess that is an older sister, rather than his wife...
