I'm not too sure and I don't know how to sort this one.
I believe her father was William Henry Shimmin but her marriage certificate is under the name of Elizabeth Shimmin. Details on the army records for her husband are under the name of Elizabeth which were after her first child was born but she was named as Margaret on her first child's birth cert and Margaret thereafter.
Any clues as to why this would be?
