In memory of Robert GELLING of Ballaoates in this parish Paper Manufacturer who was for many years a local Preacher in the Methodist Connection
He fell asleep in Jeasus 20th March 1849 aged 47 years
Prepare to meet thy God
Also of his children
Robert died 15th July 1825 aged 2 years
Robert died 6th March 1831 aged 5 years
Jane died 27th April 1840 aged 4 years
Robert died 13th July aged 6 years
Edward died 6th May 1845 aged 18 years
John died in Melbourne, Australia 21st Jun 1880 aged 47 years
Also of Elizabeth who died 30th November 1881 aged 84 years

Here lie the remains of Paul GELLING of Douglas Isle of Mann who was unfortunately drown'd on his passage from Whitehaven to the afore-said place the 21st October 1834 in the 56th year of his age
Tho' boreas blasts and Neptunes waves have tossed him to and fro
In spite of both by God's decree
He is harboured here below
Here at an anchor he does sleep with many of the fleet
Yet once again he will set sail
His Saviour Christ to meet

Also to the memory of Jane GELLING who departed this life Feb 20th 1818 aged 14 years
Also to the memory of Ann GELLING departed this life Feby 21st 1818 aged 8 years
And also John GELLING brother of the above who departed this life March 15th 1818 aged 46 years
