I believe that the name Joney went out of use gradually around the late 1700s, early 1800s, and that during her lifetime, Joney Corlett nee Corlett became known as Judith.

If you look at the burial index of one of the common surnames like Kelly, you'll see that Joney was a popular name in the 1600s and 1700s, and that very few Joneys were buried in the 1800s, and vice versa with the name Judith.

Yes, it seems very likely that Joney's birth surname was Corlett.
