Hello,
I recently ordered a microfilm copy of the patrick parish register from the latterday saints. I needed to find the name of bride and groom's fathers. In the relevant column it read

Thomas Mylrea

Kennedy
but under Thomas was a sort of squiggle. Is this similar to ditto and the name is Thomas Kennedy, or is the name not known?
Perhaps someone with experience of IOM registers may be able to clarify this for me
