William Kewish bap 1837, PR : the son of William Kewish & Catherine Cowley,. His marriage cert to Elizabeth Quayle, in 1867 lists father as William Kewish a soldier. His death cert in New Zealand: 26 Dec 1894 lists father as William Kewish: in the Army & mother as Catherine Cowley. William snr was discharged from Army to Chelsea pensions in Oct 1822 with a head injury. This ties in with 1841 census already posted.
