1851 Census, IoM; HO_107_2523_148b; Peel_2_65; Kirk Michael Street: William Fayle, Head, Mar, 53, Shoemaker, b.Marown; Eleanor Fayle, Wife, M, 49, b.Peel; William Fayle, Son, U, 24, Joiner; John Fayle, Son, 20; Eleanor Fayle, Dau, U, 17; Robert Fayle, Son, 14; James Fayle, Son, 11; Thomas Fayle, Son, 8; Caesar Fayle, Son, 5; all b.Peel.
In 1851 a 53 year old William Fayle, b.Marown, would suggest: -
1) baptd 1797-03-19 Marown s/o John Fayle and Catharine Cowley [m.?].
2) baptd 1797-03-08 Marown s/o Elizabeth Fayle, no father given.
William Fayle died before 1861; there is an entry in German Burials for William Fayle , d.1852, aged 64 yrs. Thus if his age in 1851 was incorrect, another possibility:
3) baptd 1787-07-17 Marown s/o John Fayle and Ann Cannon [m.1781-12-08 Marown].
Possible family connection: son CAESAR Fayle - a Thomas Fayle (possibly Williamís brother, b.1799 Marown, s/o John and Cath Cowley) married Esther Woods als Cowley 21st Dec 1830, and had a son John CAESAR Fayle (1830-37).
William and Eleanor's son Robert married Eliza / Elizabeth Fayle in 1855; he was the Miller at Baldrine, Lonan when he died in 1879 in an tragic accident [leg caught in machinery]. He was my gt gt grandfather.
