We're currently looking at Craines and Gellings in Braddan. I'm interested in the Thomas Craine who married Catherine Gelling b 1786 (dau of John Gelling and Isabella Craine) in 1807 and had the following children: William 1808, John 1810, Robert 1813, James 1816, Joseph 1819, Edward 1823, Caesar 1826 and Catherine 1829.

In 1841, Catherine is a widow with the children at Clybane, Braddan. There are 2 Thos Craine burials in Braddan in the right time frame:

CRAINE, Thomas 64 Bra 9 Apr 1839
CRAINE, Thomas 64 Bra 20 Nov 1840

and a possible will:

CRAINE, Thomas 1840 Bra A 10 0106249

I'm wondering whether he was the son of William Craine and Elizabeth Caralagh, bap 13 Oct 1776 Braddan (although that's a patron submission) who was the main beneficiary in his mother's 1822 will.

I'd be very grateful if you'd see if there's an MI, and it would be good if there was a mention of his wife's name.
