Hi Sandra, THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH. You have cleared up a few Benson mysteries in one swoop and for that I am eternally grateful. I did have some of the information you gave me, but I needed confirmation of Hugh Benson being the son of William and Esther. Also, William jnr (the shoemaker) had me stumped for months and I though he died in infancy but he did not. There were other Bensons born to William and Esther in Maughold (approx 11 so far). Also, I never know that Hugh and Ewan could be the same person so that is another mystery cleared up. Thank you again. x
