Thank you Frances for your reply. I also thought Ann Cowin had died between 1781 & 1786 but it says on the marriage cert of Matthew Cowin & Margaret Christian (Widow nee Parr) in 1786 that he was a bachelor not a widower.
I could not find in the MNB on the Net the summary of the Will of Mathew Cowin in 1789. There were 3 Matthew Cowins born on the Island one in 1736 Father Gilbert Cowin another in 1758 Father Thomas & a third in 1783 Father Matthew. Can you tell me which Matthew died on 12 Oct 1789? Have only been able to find one Death so far.
Also would anyone be able to help me find out if the Matthew Cowin B 1783 did leave the Island & go to Lancachire between about 1800 to 1810?
