I am hoping somebody has knowledge of the birth and parents of Agnes Florence Rennie born on the Island 26.11.1885. Her parents were John Rennie seaman and Julia Palmer (nee LeMaitre) The Palmers were first sighted on the Island for a fact when one of John Palmer and Julia's daughters, Annie Palmer, gave birth to an illegitimate son in Peel also in 1885 in the August. The family were living in Ivy Cottage Douglas Road nr Peel where both children were born. I don't know if John & Julia Rennie were married when they arrived on the Island (probably from France) but I have never been able to find their marriage details. Annie Palmer married a William Craig and had children with him and then went onto marry Frederick Charles Quine and had a daughter Doris with him and they ran two boarding houses in Douglas "Victoria House" and "Seaforth House Hotel" Annie died on the Island in 1928. Has anyone knowledge of these people please?
