Thanks it would seem that the date / couple you have found should be the correct one as their son Thomas has the same birth date as my Gt (x4) Grandad Thomas Cain

Only just getting started on this site and not sure what web site you were using - did have a look through the marriages on Manx Notebook in 1700 but could be putting the wrong parameters in.

Where's the best place to find out how to use note book and the site you mention?
