Hi, As expected I'm trying to trace my family history. I'v traced my Great Grandfather (Joseph Magrath)to the IOM via the 1871 IOM Cenus. He was then aged 12 and was living in IOM with his father, aunt (Jane) and siblings. I have checked the online Birth register but to no avail. There is no mention of a mother on the census, so I had been hoping for a birth or batism record. The address was (I think) Finch road in Douglas. Can you kindly advise me as to where I might look next? I have completed a number of online searches for Boat passengers but I didn't find anytrace there either and the 1861 and 1881 census have no otrace either. Any help would be appreciated.
