Just to say thanks for all this information. It confirms what my mother told me about the Kneens - Hugh Kneen and Sophia were my great, great grandparents and I have an old photo album with their photographs in it. It also has photos of Arthur Kneen, his children John and Eleanor, and Walter Wood and Florence. My great grandmother was Sophia Catherine who married John Radcliffe Christian. I was thrilled to discover so much more from you.
