You are all really lovely people and I am so proud my Dad came from the Isle of Man he was such a good natured man
I wish I had been born & bred there
In any case he was pre disposed to help people and he did indeed do that in Manchester where I was born.
He was Chairman of our local Council in 1972
BUT I think had he still been on the Island he would have gained even greater respect and admiration for the Charitable works he worked so very hard for particularly the RNLI
He returned to his beloved Island in 1980 but sadly died in 1989
A personal note I know... but I feel it was something I wanted to share
