Adelaide Terrace is on the main road leading up from
downtown Douglas, facing Prospect Terrace shops. Rosemount Hotel [public house] is on one end of the block opposite Rosemount Methodist Church now Trinity Church.
It was the first terrace built on Woodbourne Road in 1849,
local architect John Robinson,& named after the widow of
King William IV. The cable car railway went past the end of the little gardens to upper Douglas before the advent of buses.There is a photo in "Streets of Douglas-old & new"Slack
