Re: Skelly, Hardinge
In Response To: Re: Skelly, Hardinge ()

Thanks DJD, very helpfull to have some difinitive dates.I will check out some of these grave locations aswell, hopefully they might give some of the parents further back.I`m fairly sure it was Edward Skelly`s father that started up the left luggage(Edward and George Herbert had it after him),was a stonemason (Skelly/Karine) who worked on the Sefton, the I.O.M. bank and St. Ninians church and seemingly owned alot of property including - The Richmond and the Compton on Clarence Prom aswell as property on Woodville,Castlemona Avenue and Douglas Head.I think he originally came from Foxdale.
I was also told that Edward Skelly went goldmining/prospecting in Johannesburg at some point.

Very interesting that it is George Henry Harding that is the father of Margaret anne Hardinge, maybe the Brent that worked on the trams was the nephew or brother of George and the Brent that was with the Irish constabulary would perhaps be his father or uncle?, any thoughts?
Thanks.
