no that isnt my john and mary.thanks for looking at it for me. nice to discount it. I agree about the ancestry trees. I got quite excited to find another branch of my tree on there and then discovered that some of the dates were a hundred years out!!, so I take all of it with a pinch of salt but it can be very handy for giving you clues and then checking for yourself.
am keen to hear an answer from the corris question. if that turns out not to be my eleanor then i will go into my ancestry tree and scrub out that marriage and children. I have heard from patrick about john killey b 1810. he has the marriage record for john killey and jane hudgin. they marrie dwith her parents consent only. and the witnesses were john lace and john cowley. there are three census records for john that says he was born in santon, so we are having some luck with some of the killey siblings.
