Anyone got any ideas on how to proceed in tracking down a Bartholomew Smith, Bartholomew was a prominent businessman/merchant in the Peterculter area of Aberdeen, Scotland during the 1750's, he died in 1758. Newspaper articles for the time state he was an "englishman from the Isle of man". I assume he was in his 50's or 60's when he died (have'nt tracked down his DC yet), he think he would have been born around 1680 or 1690. his son and some grandchildren are buried in peterculter and other family in and around the Aberdeen area, I am his gr gr gr gr gr gr grandson. any help would be appreciated
