right here goes!!that is the marriage that I found for william on the igi. however another killey family member says that they were married by licence, and that isnt on the igi. also on the igi is the baptism of william, 15 mar 1814, kirk santon, son of john killey and mary callow.
these details are what I would really like to prove or disprove!!
william born isle of man and his wife mary born thingwall, cheshire, are on the english censuses. william is a gardener. they lived in the claughton and bidston areas, birkenhead, cheshire. marys father zaccheus roberts had a stone quarry in nearby, thurstaston.
william and marys children are:
zaccheus roberts killey b 1841, emma b 1843, mary ellen b 1845, christiana b 1848,william b 1851, anne b 1855, john b 1857 and thomas henry b 1859, all in the bidston area.
william died birkenhead 1880 and mary died birkenhead 1867.
I am quite desperate to find williams isle of man origins. I am in london so cannot access any local isle of man records. I would be so grateful for any help.
