The marriage certificate sourced from the Old Braddan 1861-1871 marriage register film no 106 189 reads;
Page 114, number 227
1865 at the Parish Church in the Parish of Kirk Braddan
Robert COWLEY a bachelor and builder married
Cath: CORNISH a spinster.
Both resided at Bucks Road
Fathers names given as Wm COWLEY a builder & Wm CORNISH a stone mason
Both wrote their own names and solemnized the marriage
The vicar was William Drury
Witnesses were: Albert W COWLEY & George B KILLEY & Robt CORNISH

(note; Being an old name and dependant on who recorded these events, CORNISH was sometimes mistaken for COMAISH or COMMISH and other similar soundings. The spelling on this document was definitely CORNISH and verified by Priscilla who was in the Museum at the time)
