TRANSPORT OF COVICTS-1835

Can anyone please advise how prisoners would be transferred from Castle Rushen to Woolwich for transportation to New South Wales.
The IoM Heritage advised me that my GGG grandmother Sarah LYNCHEY left Castle Rushen 31st May 1835 and there is a receipt for her from the ship's surgeon dated 3rd April 1835, so it did not not take very long.
Communication must have been fairly swift even then, I have a copy of a White Hall Letter dated 18th November 1833 responding to one from the IoM dated 15th Novemebr 1833.
