Just about anything I do with the Cowleys is confusing
I had seen the marraiage entry to Jane Cleator
but discounted it
I am researching William Cowley born abt 1812 Braddan
I found an entry 1841 census entry
living at 33 Barrack st Douglas
William 25 JOINER IOM

John 3 mos
Quite a while ago Frances indicated parents Pat Cowley and Ann Colvin
these two were also living Barrack St so I assumed I had the right William..??
On checking out John on LDS The Mother comes up as Jane CLARKE but I couldn't find a marriage record only the one for Jane Cleator

I am 90% Sure these are all the same people
but I don't understand why the job and the birth places change
Or why on LDS there is only one John listed to
William Cowley and Jane Clarke
all the other children are Just listed as mother Jane

I think I was hoping to find a Nee name among the MI'S To clarify the maiden name of Jane
Now looking at all of this it is clear she is Jane Cleator not Clarke where she comes into it I don't know
