Gilbert Callin - Skillicorn relationship 1690-1710

Can anyone identify the relationship between Gilbert Callin and his daughter Joney Bell als Callin and the Skillicorn family. The item from Liber Cancelli 1707 indicated John Skillicorn is next of kin to Joney, and the will 1690 of Gilbert Callin names Thomas Skillicorn as next of kin on the father’s side to Gilbert’s children.

Liber Cancelli
1707 Xtpher Bell & uxr to Phill & John Quilleash
A Sale of Ballaraugh of 4s 9d & Intacks of 8d Rent. This Bargain being offered to be confirmed was objected agt by John Skillicorn the next of Kin and upon hearing both parties the same is rejected in regard the Seller promised to give Skillicorn the first Prefference being next of Kin and that he offered the same Mony as Quilleash hath agreed for and the Court thinks fitt that Skillicorn shall have the Preference provided that if Skillicorn dispose of this Land to any Person other than his next of Kin that then the sd Quilleash shall have the Preference thereof. It plainly appears to to this Court that Skillicorn hath after a clandestine and fraudulent manner disposed of the above Lands unto Capt Jo Oates who supplyed him with money to frustrate Quilleashes Bargain. Therefore the Court declares the Sale made by Bell to Skillicorn & the mortgage made by Skillicorn to Oates to be both null and void & invalid & confirms the sale to Quilleash pursuant to the above Provisos.

According to his will 1690, Gilbert Callin left children Philip Jony, Mariod and William, and wife still living. Thomas Skillicorn supervisor of child at age (sic), on ye father’s side, and ye ant & uncle on ye mother’s side viz: Wm & Margt Kegeen.
