QUIRK DNA SEARCH

As an active researcher of my family links to the Isle I have received great help from this site, the Manx Notebook and of course, during our visit from Australia, all those we met.
I remain intrigued though by the "how we got there" question and over a year ago carried out a DNA test with the National Geographic/Family Tree DNA project. The results indicate that those early pre-history forebears of mine were of the group who travelled through Europe and probably moved on water from the Basque country of Spain to Ireland and Cornwall.
Only one other similarly interested 'dna subject' appears with me in the project and as fees for such tests have recently dropped I would wish to encourage others similarly intrigued about the probable move of a/some early QUIRK lines to the IOM from Ireland to submit their sample and take part in this amazing surname seeking project ... who knows, all us "quirks" may be just one large family ???
