An update, as i realised i had looked at the wrong set of notes and the information Dorothy gave me was correct. Thomas Gawnes parents were Mathias Gawne and Jane Clearte or Cleator. Thomas had an elder brother John and younger sisters Catherine, Anne, Elizabeth and Margaret. They farmed at Ballachurry. Can anyone tell me where this is? i couldn't find it on the map, i think it's near Andreas. I would like to visit when i go over in May. Thanks for any info, Debbie.
