Could you or anyone else on the forum offer any advise to a novice as how to move forward as I seem to be stuck.
I have obtained my grandfathers birth certificate. He was Thomas Cowin born 27th April 1887 at Knock Froy, Santon -parents John ( a farmer) and Margaret formerly Cowell.
I have no other firm details but in the 1891 census see a Thomas Cowin aged 3 at the same address reference in Douglas as a Margaret Alice Cowin age 22 - but no sign of John at that reference. There are however numerous John Cowins on that census.
There is a burial for a Margaret Alice Cowin (age 23) in Santon 18th November 1892 hence the previous request but this may not be the same person ?
I would be very grateful for any help or suggestions.
