sorry I edited a preview message in a bit of a rush - the different names I intended to refer to the two 'components' baptism + reception; it was usually the latter when the child was given its Christian name (hence christening - private baptisms just have the words I baptise thee in the name of the trinity) - I'll avoid any comments on belief systems.
