Thank you Frances. I will follow up on Edward. As you suggested to me some time ago it appears that Frances was Christened Mickle and this later became Mickleby. She was the daughter of James Mickle and Margaret Clague. The dates I have are Christening Malew 20th July 1800 and marriage to John Kermode 3 June 1826. Her age varies with different census documents. in 1871 she appears as 73 while she is 40 in 1841! I know the age as shown in the census is not always reliable of course. I have read on the Bulletin Board, that the Mickles were immigrants and am eager to also follow this up and wonder where they came from.
