Was John Boyd from German, indicated by notes, no marriage date, which probably explains what you came across - can only find two for this time period - 1 born about 1796 of Braddan son of Nicholas & Catharine Fayle - the other born about 1798 German who later married Jane Castain

The Anne Boyd ch 1821 from previous message married William Christian of German, could not find a German christening or birth, also lists a child born to them as William Christian Ch 28 Apr 1844 German who later married 28 Feb 1868 Lonan to Jane Wade ch 07 Feb 1841 Maughold - parents John Cannell Wade & Catharine Hampton,
