Beyond King Orry's grave there is a LH turn off the
Ballaragh Road with a ford through a stream & a path
leading up hill for a mile or two to old farm buildings. I last visited it 40 years ago & cannot remember its name
but even then the moorland was used only for " hill sheep " farming. Once a farmer will have been attempting
to grow some crops. There is no name on the OS map.
There are a number of ruined buidings on the mountain slopes in Lonan, farmers now living down near
civilization & going up to supervise lambing etc .
