This is a new thread but linked to Gicks of Cordeman and others here related.

It is one area that so far has me stumped, so would welcome all the help that is out there. May I thank all who contribute to this site who
give their help so willingly, and expertly.

I have now, with that help, linked my family in the Manchester area with the Gicks of Cordeman.

The link is from the daughter Jane of William Gick (1761-1837) and Jane(Moore) Gick 1758-1831). Jane married a William Kelly who had a daughter Isabella born around 1812. She 'married' a Joseph Clarkson probably around 1830 and had a daughter Jane born
1833.

Jane Clarkson married James Henry (or Henry James) Newton at Manchester Cathedral August 31st 1854. They are my great grandparents.

Here is my problem. I can find nowhere any marriage record of Joseph Clarkson and Isabella Kelly (Kelley?). Isabella is from the IOM, as indicated earkier, and Joseph Clarkson is from the Manchester area.
