Whereas it would be good and worthwhite to join the IOMFHS all of the information you've been directed to is freely available either on the internet or at the Manx National Heritage Library in the museum in Douglas.

The Late Brian Lawson's indexes of Births, Marriages, Burials and Wills (the numbers etc after the names that JC gave you are identifiers from there) can now be found at www.iomfhs.im which is accessible by anyone. The full texts of some wills are included and others can be found by clicking on Manx Notebook at the top of this page - where there are also many will summaries and masses of other interesting & useful information.

The family search website www.familysearch.org
can also be accessed by anyone, and is good when trying to find earlier baptisms and marriages.

At the museum there are books of transcriptions of things like burial registers and monumental inscriptions. These can be bought from the IOMFHS, who compiled them, or read freely at the museum. You can also look at microfilm copies of the parish registers at the museum library - or at a Mormon family history centre 'somewhere near you'.
