the transcriptions were done by Joyce Oates some years ago from a film of handwritten MI's (she also provided many of the will transcription on both my site and then later on Brian's )I thought I'd credited her and noted for part of the transcriptions that she said the film was very poor - the original document is I believe in the Manx Museum but I've not compared it with her transcriptions - sounds as if it is I job I need do.
