Thank you so much for the info you gave me.

The reference you quoted from Ancestry for Liverpool etc, was indeed the GRO number they required (not GRD as I had said!).

So, I have now ordered a copy of their Marriage Certificate online and await its delivery with bated breath!

Incidentally Sylvia, I had searched Ancestry.com myself and couldn't find any reference on that site to Thomas & Elizabeth's marriage. I evbentually found it on Lancashire BMD.

How did you find it on Ancestry? I am merely curious.
