Re: 3 John RADCLIFFEs to USA
In Response To: 3 John RADCLIFFEs to USA ()

Re John Radcliffe of Hambden, I agree he was son of William and Bridget (Bahee) Lace, and father of Maria Turner.

He is too present in the households of various family members to be anyone else.

1860 census: Cornelius Turner 29 shoemaker New York; Maria J. 26 Ohio; Adelina C. 5 Ohio; Edna 3 Ohio; Capital 1/12 Ohio; John Radcliffe 56 farmer IOM.

1870 Leroy census # 90: Thomas Radcliff 65 farmer IOM; Mary 70 IOM; Lydia 22 Pennsylvania; Norman 30 farmer Ohio; Wallace 5 Ohio; Mary A. 2 Ohio; John 64 IOM.

1880 Leroy census (all born Ohio): Henry Radcliff 45 farmer; Elizabeth 40; Josephine 18; William 12; James M 10; John uncle 82 IOM.

sent me to the Concord Cemetery transcriptions

http://www.rootsweb.com/~ohlcgs/concord/concord1b.html#Index_Radcliff,_John_12;

John Radcliff/ a native of the Isle of Man/ born/ Feb 22, 1801/ died [NE]/ Wm Radcliff/ a native of Isle of Man/ born Apr 1765/ died Dec 8, 1841

So that should help someone identify William, the father of this family.
