I spoke to Priscilla today in the Museum Library - I presume you are the person to who she has written including a detailed history of the Farrel/Lewthwaite connection - to summarise - He was previously married, brought a wife & 3 ch to the Island, wife + 1 child die (both buried Arbory) he marries into the Lewthwaites and continues his high spending lifestyle.
