The fountain was erected in honour of a royal
visit & recently moved position in gardens during major
renovation of Villa Marina. The plaque says----
"To commemorate the visit of King Edward V11 and his
Queen Alexandra , August 1902. The cost of this fountain
was defrayed by funds raised during the Mayoralty of
William Proctor JP"
