Margaret married james Kewley (son of Matthias Kewley [farm steward Crogga Santan 1841 census] and Margaret Callister [Malew]) on 28.11.1863 at St Barnabus.
I haven't got any more on Matthias or Margaret she seems to be a widow in 1851 but I don't see any records of death for Matthias or in fact for Margaret. She featured in Shaws Brow in the 1861 census as a pauper. Further research needed here.
Their children were Margaret Jane b 11.09.1864
Sarah Ann b 06.11.1867 Catherine b 14.08.1870 and James Alfred b 06.01.1874
In 1881 living at 6 Frederick Street Douglas.

James Alfred Kewley married Margaret Jane Shimmin (daughter of Robert Shimmin and Frances Sarah Bell) on 14.09.1898. They produced 13 children between 1899 and 1924. One of whom is my Dad Arthur Henry Kewley [an exceptional natural sportsman - star footballer].
Going back to Margaret Scarffe. She was known as "The Missus" and ruled the roost using a Stick and a whistle.
I think she was at Ballig-e-caine in the 1851 as a 16 year old house servant to John and Catherine Cain.
Hope this fills in some of the gaps.
