the originals are in the Manx Museum (or should be) - however they have not yet been microfilmed and many will not stand up to much if any use so the archivists are reluctant to bring them out unless there is a specific query with the official transcription. As an exercise I went through a couple of parishes comparing 1911 and original - the 1911 is excellent and includes 99.9% of the additional comments in the parish reg (missing ones were generally small indicators used by the clerk for fee purposes).
