I am descended from Philip Cashen's brother Edward (b 1806 Liverpool) [Edward was my Gt Gt Grandfather] - Philip appears in the 1841 census as being in Douglas (on South Quay) - although in later censuses he appears on the mainland! They appear to have been descended from a Gilbert Cashen, son of William Cashen (1600's Braddan/Onchan areas). I have a reasonable Family Tree too!
