With regard to dates for John either may be correct, perhaps the ones wrote by William Radcliffe were from his best guess.

John Cleator to Catherine Corlett in 1789 looks like it may be worth investigation, as I am the person also trying to find some link from this family to a Corlett at Union Mills in 1879 (posted under Hopeful on this board)
