Re: Philip Garrett(b.1771 d.1842)

Thanks for yours and everybody's help. My interest in the Garrett name stems from a third cousin of mine living in Santiago, Chile who is the great granson of William Fargher(b. 1839 d.1893) the Headmaster of the Clothworkers School in Peel. His first wife was a Catherine Garrett born 1843.
I have traced her line back to a Thomas Garrett and Elinor Kelly who were married in 1752 at Kirk Michael. My cousin has an oral family tradition that he was related to the `Manx Worth` Philip Garrett(b.1771). I think the connection would have to come from the children of the above Thomas and Elinor. Do you know the parents of the Philip Garrett, carpenter who had the tragic accident?
