Joseph Bee/Jane Quine Chicago 1870

I am looking for information about Joseph Bee for a distant relative of mine. The family tradition is that Joseph Bee was Manx. I have not been able to locate him prior to the 1870 Chicago census. It may be that the Manx tradition stems from his wife Jane. However, the fact that he apparently married a second Manx girl after Jane Quine died, might indicate Manx loyalties.

Any help regarding either Joseph Bee or his wives is much appreciated.

Joseph Bee was born in New York, about 1837. He is probably the Joseph Bee who died in Chicago, June 8, 1893, age 57. He married, in Chicago (?), probably about 1866, Jane Quine, daughter of William and Margaret (Kinley) Quine. She was baptized at Malew, Isle of Man, April 4, 1844, and died in Chicago, February 11, 1879, age 35.

Joseph and Jane Bee lived in Chicago.

Joseph apparently remarried, between 1880 and 1893, as the 1900 Chicago census lists his son Addison, age 20, stepson, with Jennie Bee. She may have been Jane Kermode (Cormode?), born in the Isle of Man, about 1843-1850, as her brother Daniel Cormode is living with her.
