If it's any help, John Garrett, who built my house for himself in about 1810 was a stone mason (Kirk Michael). I don't know whether you're looking for individuals or generic information, but occupations are noted in the censuses. The house is mostly of beach stone (unshaped). If you find anything about him, I'd be interested.
