Wonering if anyone can help? I am looking for a William Teer ( Teare ) b. abt 1854 IOM. Peel I believe, but could be elsewhere. The family moved to Manchester mid to late 1800's from Peel, apparently. He supposedly married an (someone) Elizabeth Schofield Taylor. Children were Jim ( James), Lillian, Ethel and Frank. Frank was born 1904 in Manchester but we cant fin his birth cert. I'm thinking that maybe the first 3 kids were born IOM as they were considerably older than Frank, to a different mother ( since William would have been about 50 when Frank was born.) There was apparently a falling out in the family and William or perhaps his father changed the name from Teare to Teer. William is listed on Frank's marriage cert as being a Joiner ie Carpenter. Hope this doesn't sound too disjointed..LOL! I would love to try and get backward from William as my father in law also Frank, is on his deathbed, and my son is the last in the line as yet ( 15 yrs ).
