widows were supposed to be noted as such though I have seen several that were not - also the name under which they marry can be either their previous married name or their maiden name - likewise for noting children you can find offspring of 2nd marriage noted under either of her previous names - I have never seen note of previous children except in wills/decrees - dying intestate was usually the best thing that could happen for any future researchers !
