I do have the info on my John and your Philip but have not been able to nail down parents for their father, Thomas Cowin. I have in my scribblings from somewhere that it may have been a
Philip Cowin and spouse, Margaret ( Cuphey ?? ).There is a record of the marriage , 17 Nov. 1763, on IGI but I have not found any children for them as yet. If your info is correct it does take us back a further generation. I will keep looking and let you know what I find if anything. I would be interested to hear if you have any further new info on any of the family. Do you have the names of the other siblings of Thomas ?
