There are now more DNA results. The Looney DNA that comes from my line is in the haplogroup that is the Denmark Sweden and Norway lines which would probably have come to the Island from Viking invaders. That would settle in with the peoples that settled the Isle of Man near Maughold where I can definately trace my ancestors with the paper trail.

For those descended from Robert b circa 1692 IOM it links the family of John b circa 1700 very closely. They were probably cousins, maybe even closer possibly brothers, but the one loci which does not match could put a bugaboo in that brother thing or it could be that Robert had a mutation at that locci.

While I am glad that this is a lead to connecting families we still need that paper trail to get details
